Achieving naturally high rankings with Search Engines

High rankings in the search engines is the goal that most people have in mind when creating their new website.  This makes sense as most websites depend on the search engines to generate and direct traffice to their site.  So how do search engines make sure their search results are relevant to keep you coming back to the same site?  That is the real question....  Search engines do not have people looking through through every page of every site and then associating relevant search terms to that page.  Instead, they have programs called spiders or robots that follow link trails to different sites on the web.  These spiders take note of what the page is about by reading the text on that page.  Then when someone searches for "hairdressers" for example, sites that are about "hairdressers" end up in the results.  Your site maybe listed near to the top or sadly near to the bottom.  So how do you get your site moved onto that all important page 1 without spending a forture on paid advertising??

There are several factors which can adopt - these include quality of the site, the text content, how quickly the site loads (most people will not wait more than 60 seconds to see your site, no matter how good it is!) and backlinks.  It is also important to have excellent, good, clean, streamlined coding.  Another key factor to getting your site higher up the rankings is how often your site is updated - search engines figure that sites that are constantly updated must have people working behind the scenes to make sure their site is the best!

Another way to move your site higher up the rankings is to ensure you have good quality inbound and outbound links to your site together with various articles which are submitted to search engines.

So as you can see, it can be a fairly complex process to get your site onto that all important page 1 of google but well worth the time and effort in the end!
