Are Black websites always right
0The big trend at the moment in web design is having a black web site, however is it really the best colour to use for your website.
The definition of black is the colour that does not emit or reflect light in any part of the visible spectrum. It absorbs all frequencies of light. Hence black is often considered as the lack of all colors of light, or an exhaustive combination of multiple colors of pigment. Although black is sometimes described as “achromatic” or hue-less, in practice, it can be considered a colour.
The underlining factor in deciding if black is right is whether it works with the target audience. Black is seen to be a colour that gives class, depth and character. Black assists in targeting a sophisticated high-end market or a youth market because of its association with style and mystery.
Although black backgrounds help perspective and depth, it also makes reading difficult. black works best with visual content not written content. Black however is great for art, photography and design company websites because it lets other colors stand off the page and display its vibrancy.
One might think that black is just black. However, that isn’t the case.
